The Connected Life
Why should I be weary when every cell of my body is bursting with life? - Rumi
Whether it's feeling powerless or on top of the world we can all relate to the feeling of inner energy that powers our lives. Physically, mentally, and spiritually we have an
internal battery that charges the life within us. Our day to day existence drains this etheric resource while food, rest, and sleep recharge it.
We also recharge ourselves in very personal ways, through exercise, vacations, walks, sports, the list goes on. Sometimes we exchange a physical cost for a mental recharge, running,
rock climbing, etc. Others exchange free time for religious activities, meditation, or charitable acts. These are very personal transactions, one man's meat is truly another man's
poison.
Illness and injury pay a heavy toll or our power levels as do matter of the heart. Death, separation, and other emotional traumas bleed us of energy that is often beyond a quick fix.
We accept some false cures to achieve our recharge through alcohol, narcotics, and even some prescribed medicines. Excesses in other areas can give the delusion of recharging like food, shopping,
and gambling.
Anything that creates an unreal sense of reality is truly a false fix to our depleted spirit, the delusion of energy quickly passes when normality returns.
Just as many things weaken and deplete our energy so can it be restored, feeling love, an amazing surprise, an awe-inspiring view. Situations where we connect with reality on an
especially clear level when reality is extra real.
With our lives full of duty, routine, and commitment our inner resource can often feel dormant and distant and this feeling cause us not to fully benefit from it regardless of its levels.
How can we cherish, connect, and enhance this natural energy, how can we get more power?
Acceptance
For after all, the best thing one can do when it is raining is let it rain. - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
When we first begin to look at acceptance we must understand what it means for us.
Acceptance is recognizing a person, place, or thing over which we have no control. Memories, fears and attitudes are just some of the things that fall under this umbrella.
In accepting a thing it does not show that we condone or approve of it, simply that we recognize as we have no power over it, we will allow it to have no power over us.

Break The Chains
We actively begin to learn from an early age and all too soon we become teachers too, the strength of humanity lies in learning and teaching but has it gone wrong?
Learning about hazards such as fire and dangerous beasts hones our survival instincts and teaches as fear. For once fear brings value, it switches on our brain and readies our bodies for action to avoid
risk and disaster.
Our learning about the physical world soon extends to the social one, we begin to understand social mores and what is and isn't acceptable. Our fear evolves
into anger or embarresment and while our bodies alter, our minds lose focus and our logic departs.

Smiling
Sadly, most of us live a fast paced life where the demands, expectations, and delusions of the modern world can leave us stressed, miserable and confused
Even something so innocent as a smile can be measured and analysed until its value and benefit can be drained dry. We wear the dried husk of these scientific
smiles like an I.D badge and gradually lose sight of a real smile.

Melancholy - Thoughts on being sad
If someone had told me at the beginning of March 2020 that my two week stay in America would end up lasting ten weeks I would have probably laughed. Here I
am though and now just a few days to go until I return to the UK.
I have had an awesome time and experienced so many things here, and although I intend to return later in the year I am still sad to be leaving. In fact I
woke up this morning feeling downright melancholy.

Auras - The Star Within Us
We already use our auras on a regular basis in giving or receiving a massage, stroking a pet or a simple handshake connects our auras to
another living thing.
So how do we gain sensitivity, strength, and defense with auras? We gain physical strength by exercise, mental acuity by using our brains, and we strengthen our auras by
feeling them and using them.

Troubles?
Overwhelmed is often used when we describe how we feel about our problems, an interesting word when you consider it can mean 'to be defeated by someone or something by
using a lot of force', 'to cause someone to feel strong emotion', and 'to be too much to deal with'. So what do we actually mean, in all honesty I believe it is the emotive
qalitities that we refer to.
It is how we feel about the situation that drives us to consider it a trouble or problem, rather than the situation itself.

Getting To Know My Stones
I love the picture here with all our crystals, you may look and consider it a collection or a display but to me it is more like a cross between a petting zoo
and a magic box. Each stone and statue has its own personality and purpose.
I don't feel that we own these stones, more like guardians or custodians to look after them until they move on to the next part of their
journey.
