Acceptance is the key that unlocks you and your world
For after all, the best thing one can do when it is raining is let it rain. - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
When we first begin to look at acceptance we must understand what it means for us. Acceptance is recognizing a person, place, or thing over which we have no control. Memories, fears
and attitudes are just some of the things that fall under this umbrella. In accepting a thing it does not show that we condone or approve of it, simply that we recognize as we have
no power over it, we will allow it to have no power over us.
In accepting we must establish ownership, if a situation is of our making then we have to accept it and if we are merely the victim of circumstance we must face that too. Is
the bully's victim responsible for their situation or just an easy target, what actions did we truly take to be hated or despised by a peer?
To find peace and closure we often are required to make a journey of self-reflection and it may be the case that we will have to apply acceptance to parts of ourselves. Each of us
have aspects of ourselves that we choose to ignore or conceal.
Admitting we have no power over something is not an easy undertaking, no one likes to be completely out of control and it requires bravery to find that inner truth. Yet, it is a
neccesary evil in releasing ourselves. If we have the ability to make the change but decide not to, our acceptance must be based on the lack of will we have, here 'will means power'.
It is a brave man who recognizes his own lack of willpower and accepts it.
In considering power, we must look at change, can new behavior resolve the issue or is a change in someone else's behavior what is needed. We do not own them or know how or why
people are how they are. Save time and tears by not waiting for others to change, it is a fools errand.
The consequence of our acceptance must also be considered, if we are no longer wasting effort on a lost cause what will happen next. Our ego and self-esteem may risk damage but
in truth these are not real losses. We may have to sacrifice friendships and associations but again these have already shown they have no value if acceptance is the answer you
are seeking. The worst consequence is that you may have to revisit your beliefs and understanding, and that is never a bad thing.
The process of accepting is similar to grieving but unlike mourning when we accept something there can be a time when we are somehow different or grown and what was once outside
our reach is now attainable.
Bravery
Walking a connected path means that we must break the chains that hold us back from the Divine. One of the most powerful is fear and its counterpart, bravery.
A definition is "Taking the harder path for the greater good when an easier way exists.". without a reason to do so, the primal fear sought by dangerous sports
and roller coasters may stimulate our body but it has little effect on our spirit.
From bullying on a physical, mental or emotional level to fear of being hated, despised or ignored, others may seem to be responsible for a lot of our fears. The
connected journey requires a degree of absolute honest and with it acceptance that we are only responsible for ourselves.
Make sure your life is filled with living your life and not other peoples, and ensure you are not allowing others to live your life for you.

Break The Chains
We actively begin to learn from an early age and all too soon we become teachers too, the strength of humanity lies in learning and teaching but has it gone wrong?
Learning about hazards such as fire and dangerous beasts hones our survival instincts and teaches as fear. For once fear brings value, it switches on our brain and readies our bodies for action to avoid
risk and disaster.
Our learning about the physical world soon extends to the social one, we begin to understand social mores and what is and isn't acceptable. Our fear evolves
into anger or embarresment and while our bodies alter, our minds lose focus and our logic departs.

Smiling
Sadly, most of us live a fast paced life where the demands, expectations, and delusions of the modern world can leave us stressed, miserable and confused
Even something so innocent as a smile can be measured and analysed until its value and benefit can be drained dry. We wear the dried husk of these scientific
smiles like an I.D badge and gradually lose sight of a real smile.

Melancholy - Thoughts on being sad
If someone had told me at the beginning of March 2020 that my two week stay in America would end up lasting ten weeks I would have probably laughed. Here I
am though and now just a few days to go until I return to the UK.
I have had an awesome time and experienced so many things here, and although I intend to return later in the year I am still sad to be leaving. In fact I
woke up this morning feeling downright melancholy.

Auras - The Star Within Us
We already use our auras on a regular basis in giving or receiving a massage, stroking a pet or a simple handshake connects our auras to
another living thing.
So how do we gain sensitivity, strength, and defense with auras? We gain physical strength by exercise, mental acuity by using our brains, and we strengthen our auras by
feeling them and using them.

Troubles?
Overwhelmed is often used when we describe how we feel about our problems, an interesting word when you consider it can mean 'to be defeated by someone or something by
using a lot of force', 'to cause someone to feel strong emotion', and 'to be too much to deal with'. So what do we actually mean, in all honesty I believe it is the emotive
qalitities that we refer to.
It is how we feel about the situation that drives us to consider it a trouble or problem, rather than the situation itself.

Getting To Know My Stones
I love the picture here with all our crystals, you may look and consider it a collection or a display but to me it is more like a cross between a petting zoo
and a magic box. Each stone and statue has its own personality and purpose.
I don't feel that we own these stones, more like guardians or custodians to look after them until they move on to the next part of their
journey.
