Why You?
You are small in the pool of life but you are perfect. Shine
We live our lives perpetually molded by society and circumstance to create the person we know as ourselves. Often we spend huge amounts of time and money trying
to find and shape our identity. We lay the responsibility of who we are and how we act at the feet of society or lay all the woes of the world on ourselves.
On a simple level, we are tiny, insignificant, barely a drop in the universal ocean of life, and yet on a deeper level, we are amazing. Your very creation is a culmination
of astounding odds and peculiar coincidence, yet here you are.
In the eternal concerts of life, you may seem like a tiny melody that plays only for a moment yet you are essential to the Divine Conductors music.
Consider you fill a unique space in space and time, wholly made for you, a point where your vibe plays out across the entire cosmos. The ripples of your
existence play and interact with everyone and everything around you. Everything you do and don't do has an impact, an effect that has consequences well beyond our normal
understanding. On occasion, we may be privy to the consequence of our actions but more often we are not.
We are graced with an instinct, a feeling of the right action when we step away from our thoughts. Doing the right thing without thought is when we truly
connected with our Higher Power. Those times when we are moving in spiritual harmony with the universe are when we are perfect.
The perfect that we speak of is not the achievements of our thoughts and feelings but rather when we play our part in the outcome of unlimited possibilities to work the Divine
purpose. When we do right because it is right then we truly shine.
Of course, it is both our gift and our curse that we have freedom of will, that we can choose our actions. We can create ripples that can make or unmake lives and yet we
rarely accept this responsibility. We have a choice, we can exist weighed down with our material aims, our base desires, and societal demands as we see them, or we can try
to add value to the universe and the world around us in how we think and feel, how we act and live. It is our choice.
We can but try and in trying there is no success or failure. In trying, we shine and even if we can't see the light we make, others may see the path.
Acceptance
For after all, the best thing one can do when it is raining is let it rain. - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
When we first begin to look at acceptance we must understand what it means for us.
Acceptance is recognizing a person, place, or thing over which we have no control. Memories, fears and attitudes are just some of the things that fall under this umbrella.
In accepting a thing it does not show that we condone or approve of it, simply that we recognize as we have no power over it, we will allow it to have no power over us.

Break The Chains
We actively begin to learn from an early age and all too soon we become teachers too, the strength of humanity lies in learning and teaching but has it gone wrong?
Learning about hazards such as fire and dangerous beasts hones our survival instincts and teaches as fear. For once fear brings value, it switches on our brain and readies our bodies for action to avoid
risk and disaster.
Our learning about the physical world soon extends to the social one, we begin to understand social mores and what is and isn't acceptable. Our fear evolves
into anger or embarresment and while our bodies alter, our minds lose focus and our logic departs.

Smiling
Sadly, most of us live a fast paced life where the demands, expectations, and delusions of the modern world can leave us stressed, miserable and confused
Even something so innocent as a smile can be measured and analysed until its value and benefit can be drained dry. We wear the dried husk of these scientific
smiles like an I.D badge and gradually lose sight of a real smile.

Melancholy - Thoughts on being sad
If someone had told me at the beginning of March 2020 that my two week stay in America would end up lasting ten weeks I would have probably laughed. Here I
am though and now just a few days to go until I return to the UK.
I have had an awesome time and experienced so many things here, and although I intend to return later in the year I am still sad to be leaving. In fact I
woke up this morning feeling downright melancholy.

Getting To Know My Stones
I love the picture here with all our crystals, you may look and consider it a collection or a display but to me it is more like a cross between a petting zoo
and a magic box. Each stone and statue has its own personality and purpose.
I don't feel that we own these stones, more like guardians or custodians to look after them until they move on to the next part of their
journey.
