"A picture is worth a thousand words." - Fred R. Barnard. From the dawn of awareness, people began to feel then to think. On thinking, we soon felt the need to express ourselves in words, music, or art. Intricate communication has allowed man to grow and develop. We use a finite number of words, see a small spectrum of colors, and hear within a limited range of sounds. Our feelings are boundless, immeasurable, and as mortals, we try to express them with a restricted canvas. Talking is okay in our day to day affairs, allowing us to carry out a multitude of interpersonal transactions with a minimum of fuss. On a purely physical level, this is fine until we try talking about things of a spiritual nature. Consider a prayer of thanks, whether it is brief thanks, a poem, or scripture. Gauge how you feel when completed. Now, recall a feeling of gratitude from your memory like receiving a childhood gift. Summon the feeling and direct it towards your Higher Power. Try feeling it flow from you without using thoughts or words. The impossibly perfect prayer leaves feelings of being cleansed and uplifted. In feeling gratitude, we become thankful for everything, the good and the bad, and in this state, we get closure on those things. We are truly grateful. The desire to face new experiences follows. We must allow ourselves time to find the balance between our physical self and our spiritual self. When we feel the harmony between our physical and spiritual selves, we gain insight into or world on a whole new level.
